I dag er det Grønlands nationaldag. Til minde om ofrene for katastrofen i bygden Nuugaatsiaq i Vestgrønland flager ambassaden i Warszawa på halv.

Today is Greenland’s National Day. We fly Erfalasorput at half-mast as a symbol of mourning after last weekend's tsunami in West Greenland.

Erfalasorput ("our flag") features two equal horizontal bands. The top one (coloured white) symbolizes the ice sheet. The upper half-circle (coloured red) symbolizes the sun. The bottom horizontal band - coloured red - symbolizes the ocean and the lower part of the half-circle (coloured white) symbolizes the iceberg.
