Residence Permit to Denmark

The steps to applying for a residence permit to Denmark:  

  1. Before going to the Joint Visa Application Centre to hand in the application, please go to, create a case order ID and pay the application fee to the Danish agency processing the application. Please pay by credit card.   
  2. Write the case order ID in the application form to be handed in at the Joint Visa Application Centre and make a copy of the receipt for your payment of the fee.
  3. Book an appointment with the Joint Visa Application Centre. Walk-ins will not be accepted.   
  4. You are required to submit in person. Submit the application form and documents (copies and originals)
  5. Fee payment - the consular fee payable to the Embassy and the service fee payable to the Joint Visa Application Centre. Payment is in cash only.

The Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore has appointed VFS Global to receive visa applications on its behalf. Please make an appointment and submit your application at:

Processing of application
Your application will be forwarded to the relevant agency in Denmark for processing. Information on processing time is found here. The Embassy will contact you once a decision is received.
