POSTPONED TO 2021 - European Union Film Festival, @National Gallery Singapore
Screening of an accolated Danish movie and reception at National Gallery Singapore with snacks and delicacies from Denmark during the annual EU Film Festival in Singapore. The Festival runs from 14-24 May. More information about the Danish screening to follow.

POSTPONED TO 2021 - Nordic Film Festival in Singapore

Following up on last year's succes, the second Nordic Film Festival in Singapore will showcase the best of Nordic cinema and culture in third quarter of 2020. The festival is held in collaboration with the Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish Embassies' in Singapore. More information to follow.

Denmark's Infrastructure Asia Platform (DIAP) webinars
According to the Asian Development Bank, the region needs infrastructure investments worth USD 26 trillion from 2016-2030. To enable the development, financing and execution of infrastructure projects in Asia, the Singapore government established a new office called Infrastructure Asia in 2018. In close collaboration with Infrastructure Asia, the Embassy has launched DIAP to bring awareness about Danish companies and their competencies with the view of bringing business this way. POSTPONED TO 2021 - Denmark-Singapore: Green Maritime High-Level Dialogue @Singapore Maritime Week
Building on close ties as ‘maritime homes away from home’ and several collaboration agreements within e-certifications, research exchange and digital shipping, the fundament to lead a positive change is in place. By bringing together researchers, regulators and leading industry players from Singapore and Denmark, this forum will help fast-track the route from idea and innovation to technically and commercially viable solutions.

Nordic Christmas @Gardens by the Bay, 8 November 2019 - 5 January 2020

From 8 November 2019 – 5 January 2020, the four Nordic Embassies in Singapore and Gardens by the Bay bring the true Nordic Christmas to Singapore. The Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay will be adored in Norse Christmas traditions to bring the streets of Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen to the tropics. Every day through the period.

A Taste of Denmark - Culinary fairytales at restaurant Pollen @Gardens by the Bay, 22 - 23 November
Step into the world of Hans Christian Andersen through food and flavours. Exclusive culinary collaboration with Pollen and Gardens by the Dinner. Dinner on 22 November and lunch on 23 November.

Nordic Ambassadors' Luncheon on Work-Life Balance @Four Seasons Singapore, 2 October
In company of Jacqueline Poh, Deputy Secretary, Prime Minister's Strategy Office, the four Nordic Ambassadors to Singapore discuss work culture and work-life balance with best-practices from Singapore and the Nordics. The event is organized by DABS, SwedCham, NBAS og FBC. 

Nordic Film Festival & 'We Love the Nordics Celebration' @The Projector, 6 - 15 September

The first ever Nordic Film Festival in Singapore in collaboration with the Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish Embassies' in Singapore. As wrap-up, all embassies invited local partners, friends and stakeholders to celebrate Nordic culturea at the 'We Love the Nordics' celebration. Held in collaboration with Nordic companies and businesses in Singapore.

Nicklas Sahl Concert @Singapore Botanic Garden, 9 June
Experience one of Denmark's rising stars when Nicklas Sahl gives his first ever performance in Asia. The 22-year-old singer is hailed as one of the most promising song writers and live performers in the Nordics for years. Free concert at Singapore Botanic Gardens' Shaw Symphony Stage on 9 June at 6pm.

Denmark Day @Asian Civilisations Museum, 11 June
The Embassy's annual Denmark Day in conjunction with the Danish Constitutional Day. Once again, the celebration emphasizes Denmark’s global commitment to take action on climate challenges and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.  In line with Singapore’s aim this year to become a responsible zero-waste nation, Denmark Day 2019 will focus on and promote ways to reduce waste. European Film Festival in Singapore @National Gallery Singapore, 10 - 19 May
Screening of auteur Bille August's Oscars shortlisted movie 'A Fortunate Man' on 15 May at 7pm. The Embassy invites all ticket holders to join our Danish pre-screening reception at 6pm.

'How Do Cities Tackle Climate Change?', lead-up to the World Mayors Summit
@Singapore Sustainability Academy, 3 September
To achieve the SDGs and the objectives of the Paris Agreement to avoid climate disaster we must act faster and with more urgency than ever before. Fortunately, the leading cities have emerged as frontrunners of ambitious climate actions. Copenhagen aims to be carbon neutral by 2025, Singapore holds the undisputed crown as Asia’s greenest city. Leading up to C40 World Mayors Summit in Copenhagen 9-12 October, the Royal Danish Embassy, City Developments Limited and C40 hosts an event to discuss new partnerships towards practical solutions for greener and more climate resistent cities. 

Danish Beach Clean Up @East Coast, 5 May
The month of May is 'Keep Singapore Clean'. To support the strives for greener and cleaner cities, the Embassy invites all Danes in Singapore to a breakfast and joint beach clean up on East Coast from 8.30am - 11am. Collected plastic will be recycled and showcased as new products at Denmark Day. 


The EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) Outreach Series II, 4 February 2020

Explore business opportunities with Head of Trade at the Royal Danish Embassy, Ole Boisselier-Malmgren, in a 15 minute 1-1 session which aims to give companies the opportunity to discuss business and investment opportunities in each EU Member State. The registration platform for 1-1 meetings is expected to open on 15 January 2020.

Two new Danish export initiatives @AsiaHouse Copenhagen, 15 August
Dive into the infrastructure market in Singapore and the energy market in Indonesia with Ambassador of Denmark to Singapore, Dorte Bech Vizard, and Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, who will present two new export initiatives in Southeast Asia and invite participants to take part in the discussion.

EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement Seminar @Royal Palm, 23 May

A sounding yes in the European Parliament in February 2019 settled the landmark free trade agreement between the EU and Singapore. The agreement will gradually eliminate nearly all tariffs on goods and make it easier for companies from EU countries to sell services in Singapore - but what's in it for Denmark? Experts from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will elaborate on the new opportunities for Danish businesses during the conference from 8am - 1pm. Held in collaboration with the Danish Business Association Singapore (DABS).

Singapore Fintech Festival @Singapore, 11 - 15 November
In 2018, the largest Danish FinTech delegation visited Singapore FinTech Festival to date. An even closer collaboration between the two eco-systems was ensured with the founding of the DanSing Fintech Bridge, and this year we continue to enhance the close ties. Various events in collaboration between the Danish Embassy and Copenhagen Fintech awaits during Singapore FinTech Festival 2019 from 11-15 November.

Tech for sustainability @SGInnovate, 12 December 2019

Dialogue and debate event with Singapore’s start-up and innovator community on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through tech. Showcase of Danish solutions and discussion of SG-EK collaboration on tech for sustainability. Date, line-up and exact timing to be confirmed.


Maritime Innovation: From Headwind to Headway @SGInnovate, 23 April
The maritime industry’s turn from headwind to headway is taking shape, but a label as 'the last frontier' when it comes to tech adaptation and digitalisation proves that innovation is needed. Singapore and Denmark have a joint ambition to take the lead, and in order to be at the forefront of innovation, non-traditional partnerships and involvement of startups is a must. In collaboration with SGInnovate we host an inspirational afternoon to discuss how entrepreneurs can be a part of the maritime industry’s digital transformation and search for new ways to stay buoyant. The event is free and open for all.

Lifelong Living Conference @PARKROYAL on Pickering, 30 May

The world is drastically ageing. Both Singapore and Denmark are taking the lead facing the social and societal challenges caused by global ageing. The Embassy hosts a high level conference to nurture stronger collaboration in the area of lifelong living - Including active ageing, digitalisation of the health care sector and user involvement in the development of new solutions. Leading Danish researchers, public and private decision makers, thought leaders and health practitioners will present innovative solutions, new ideas and participate in panel discussions on the future's eldercare. MedTech Dialogue @SGInnovate, 31 May
Singapore is regarded as the entrance to the Southeast Asian health tech market. In Copenhagen, we find Medicon Valley. As some of the frontrunners within MedTech, the Embassy in collaboration with SGInnovate invites entrepreneurs, tech-developers and everyone interested in MedTech for discussions on future collaboration and development of user-centered solutions. The event is open and free for all.
