Practical information for visas, residence permits and passports

Visa

The Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore handles applications for Schengen visa to Denmark (including GreeEdit text in new windownland and the Faroe Islands), Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

To apply for a visa, please contact the Joint Visa Application Centre (VAC). Under important links you will also find the relevant visa checklists, which you must print, sign and submit together with the visa application. Please note that the Danish Embassy is the authority who will assess and make the decision on your application. The VAC is not involved in the decision making process.

Please be aware that the Danish embassy in Singapore also handles visa case processing for visa applications from Taiwan. However, please refer to the VFS centre in Taipei for inquiries.

Your current passport will be cancelled when the new one is handed out at the Embassy. If you hold visas in the old passport make sure you check with the representative of the countries in question, if the visas remain valid.

Please inform the Singapore authorities when you have collected your new passport. You must have SingPass access and depending on your residence status, you either advise your new passport number to ICA or MOM EP online.

Passport applicants from Hong Kong:

Danes wishing to travel to Singapore for the purpose of applying for a Danish Biometric Passport may do so using an EU ETD (emergency travel document issued by an EU representation in Hong Kong).
