Practical information for visas, residence permits and passports

Visa

The Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore handles applications for Schengen visas to Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands), Norway, Finland and Iceland.

To apply for a visa, please contact the Joint Visa Application Centre (VAC). On their website, you will find the relevant visa checklists which you must print, sign and submit together with the visa application. Please note that the Danish Embassy is the authority who will assess and make the decision on your application. The VAC is not involved in the decision making process.

Please be aware that the Danish embassy in Singapore also handles visa case processing for visa applications from Taiwan. However, please refer to the VFS centre in Taipei for inquiries.

The application should be submitted in the applicant’s country of usual residence or home country. However, if this is not possible, and the applicant is staying legally in Singapore, the application may be submitted to the Visa Application Centre in Singapore.

Residence permit

The Embassy also handles applications for residence permits for Denmark and Norway. For residence permits to Sweden, Finland and Iceland, kindly contact the respective embassies or relevant immigration authority.
