A Walk in the Park
Take
the first step towards a healthier lifestyle! Come celebrate 60 years of
diplomatic relations between Denmark and Singapore with a walk in Fort Canning
Park. Everyone is invited to join! Bring your family, neighbours, children,
colleagues, friends and grandparents.
Celebrate 60 years of diplomatic ties between Denmark & Singapore
2025 marks the diamond jubilee of Singapore, but
also the 60 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Singapore.
Denmark and Singapore’s green ties date back over 200 years to the founding of
Singapore’s first botanic garden. In 1822, Danish botanist and surgeon
Nathaniel Wallich played a key role in establishing the first botanic gardens
in Singapore – where Fort Canning Park lies today.
With this event we not only celebrate our 60 years
of diplomatic relations, but also green and healthy living. Walking outside is
one of the most accessible and sustainable ways to improve your health and
prevent disease. Walking helps maintain a healthy heart, and walking outside
has proven to reduce stress and anxiety. Routine walks in nature are
accessible, enjoyable, and require no special equipment, making them an easy
habit for long-term health.

Come celebrate 60 years and join us for A
Walk in the Park together with Guest of Honour, Mr Ong Ye Kung,
Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies.
